Brooklyn Composer Andrew Shapiro to Perform Piano Recital at The Buttonwood Tree in Middletown, CT

This month, renowned Brooklyn (NY) composer Andrew Shapiro will perform his artful blend of classical, ambient and minimal music in an intimate recital setting at The Buttonwood Tree in downtown Middletown, CT. Shapiro’s new album Piano 3 is set for release on June 24. Recorded in New York over the past year, the album was created with Philip Glass producer/musical director Michael Riesman.
Shapiro’s cinematic piano track Mint Green from Numbers, Colors and People (2009) has been streamed on Pandora over six million times. Performance highlights include The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington, D.C.), TEDx, Bard College, New Fall Festival (Dusseldorf), Joe’s Pub, Gracie Mansion, Bargemusic, Exit Festival (Serbia), and the Wordless Music Series at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City.
